They began talking on Tinder in April of 2018. Warren was extremely skeptical of online dating and had a phobia of being catfished. Jeannie was jaded and cynical of the entire dating scene in general. One night, as they both sat on their separate couches miles away from one another in a binge of endless swiping, they both saw each other's profiles and thought to themselves, "Hmmm... why not" and swiped right. It was a match! After talking for several weeks and after several attempts of trying to meet up in person (Jeannie refused to go on Warren's 8am breakfast date idea), Jeannie finally took the initiative after getting home early from a Mother's Day lunch on May 13 and asked Warren if he would like to meet up for a drink... at night. He said yes and suggested 7:30, which only gave Jeannie a half hour to run home from the gym and jump into her car to head out to Houlihan's in Secaucus to meet up with him. Realizing it was actually 7pm and not 6pm, Warren quickly jumped from his couch, threw on some pants, looked up directions and bolted out of his apartment in Hackensack to get there in time. When they both arrived after the mad dash to just get there on time and quick sigh of relief after both of them had realized they had not been catfished, they sat down at the bar. When the bartender came over to ask what they would like to order, Jeannie said "I'll have a Yuengling." Warren smiled, looked at the bartender and said, "I'll have a Yuengling too."
