Attire
Semi-Formal. In Vietnamese wedding tradition, guests are encouraged to wear bright, cheerful colors as they symbolize happiness, prosperity, and good fortune for the newlyweds. Colors such as white, black, dark purple, and gray are traditionally associated with mourning, sadness, or bad luck, so they are generally avoided out of respect for the couple and the celebration. Red is typically reserved for the bride. Black pants are fine.
