We first met at Ethical Society Nursery School when we were just 2 years old. We were classmates in "The Green Room." Jeanne doesn't remember Jonathan from preschool, but Jonathan remembers Jeanne once catching him a frog on the playground.

Jonathan moved to Jeanne's elementary school in fifth grade and we became fast friends. We bonded over a shared love of history, Legos, reading, and Phineas and Ferb.

We were best friends throughout middle school until eventually getting together in eighth grade. Then, it was happily ever after! Just kidding. We dated for six weeks before deciding that we were better off as friends.

We kept in touch throughout high school but stayed busy with our separate lives until reuniting at senior prom, where Jonathan asked Jeanne to dance. We dated briefly afterward before heading our separate ways to college: Jonathan to Bradley and Jeanne to Rhodes.

After not talking to each other at all for five years, Jeanne jumped at the chance to ask Jonathan out when a mutual friend (thanks Jayme!) told her he was back in town. We went on our first(?) date on October 15th and it was clear to both of us that we were a perfect match. We both still love history, Legos, reading, and Phineas and Ferb. And now we also love hiking, camping, road trips, old houses, good food, and being together.

Jonathan asked Jeanne to marry him on July 15th at Ethical Society where we first met more than 20 years ago! We are overjoyed to be engaged and cannot wait for our wedding!
