Finally, the best day ever!

While Jeanie was attending UCF and Josh attending Full Sail, the most unexpected event happened from swiping right. Both parties found the other by a literal swipe of fate, and it’s been love ever since. They initially bonded over their love of all things Star Trek and music. Which was even more surprising, as who in the world finds another person who also loves Star Trek AND has a similar taste in music?? Neither of them knew what would evolve as they were too busy working in the music industry. Josh was drawn to Jeanie’s simple profile: “UCF student of marketing. Intern at Sony Music. Corny joke extraordinaire.” Josh’s profile has a long winded story of his audio engineer and music successes so far. The jury is still out apparently on the quality of corny jokes. Their first trip to Nashville sealed the deal, as they found their new city and started thriving. While their careers look slightly different than they planned, they found love in music city. With the addition of Rupert, their family has even more love! He can’t wait to walk down the aisle as the best boy and ring bearer as his parents make their union official. Can’t wait to celebrate for the festivities of #HappilyEverHastick!

The proposal came as a complete surprise to Jeanie. The only guidance she’d given Josh was that she wanted “twinkle lights, Disney, and a manicure.” Josh had been carrying the ring around for a while. That weekend just so happened to be Jeanie and Katie’s birthday, and the whole family being there was the perfect opportunity to pop the question. Josh pulled in one of Jeanie’s best friends, Emily, to trick her into getting a manicure after work. This was a normal activity, so Jeanie suspected nothing. Josh then went to their favorite hiking trail to set up twinkle lights and have Disney music playing in the background. He enlisted two more best friends, Katie and Louis, to convince everyone “to go on an evening hike”. Now, at this point, Jeanie was a total grump as she was worried about feeding their new puppy dinner. Grumping the whole way, Kim and Emily took Jeanie to the hiking spot to meet Katie, Louis, Josh, and Chuck for their evening hike. They hiked to the overlook, Jeanie and Josh’s favorite spot, where Josh had set up a canopy of twinkle lights. There, surrounded by family and close friends, Josh proposed to Jeanie. Of course, she immediately apologized for being such a grump, and said YES!
