Tequila
Tequila is an hour away from Guadalajara and is essential, even for non-drinkers. Tequila is a "Pueblo Mágico" and it has plenty to offer with its colorful buildings and blue agave fields as part of the landscape. You can either drive there or take a tour bus starting in Guadalajara and enjoy a full day of touring agave fields, tequila tasting, and enjoying mariachi music.
El Bosque los Colomos
Found in the northeast part of Guadalajara on the limits of Guadalajara and Zapopan. It's a huge forest-like park with lakes, a Japanese garden, trails, running tracks, a picnic area and a cultural center.
Guadalajara Cathedral

Known for its galleries, ceramics, pottery and mariachi, Tlaquepalque is a popular day trip option since it's located less than 4 miles southeast of Guadalajara.
