Please RSVP by no later than 23 March 2024.
We invite you to RSVP online on our website to prevent your response possibly being missed. Easily RSVP by finding your name under the “RSVP” tab.
While we love kids, this is a child-free event.
Unfortunately there will be no cash bar. We will be providing champagne, wine and grape juice for each table. Please bring along your cooler boxes stocked with your favorite alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We do kindly ask that you keep your cooler boxes in the car until the MC advises when you may fetch them. Should you wish to drink from a specific glass, such as a tumbler, please make sure to bring your own along.
The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be indoors. Should the weather not be pleasant, the ceremony will take place underneath a well sheltered stretch tent.
The dress code is Smart Casual. The wedding will be on a rustic small holding and have a country feel. Men, feel free to wear jeans, however a button shirt is preferred. And ladies, I would suggest wearing flats or a thicker heel as there will be plenty grass and hay around. Don't be shy to dust off those cowboy boots, or hat, that you have been wanting to wear for so long!
Please arrive by 15h00 to allow enough time to be seated. The ceremony will start at 15h30.
The reception will end at 12pm, but should the party still be going strong, it could exceed this time.
Refer to the GPS link on the "Schedule" page of this website, however, please follow the below if needed: From the N1, take the Joostenberg Vlakte offramp (either direction). When you drive into Joostenberg Vlakte (Lucullus Street), Cape Garden Centre will be on your right. Keep following this road for approximately 2km's until you get to a T-junction, then turn left into Red Hill Road. In approximately 240m the entrance to the venue will be on your left.
For pre-drinks there will be a harvest table that will serve as a light snack. For the main meal there will be a lamb spit and a variety of sides. Do not snack too much, as there is a 500g portion of lamb per person. LEKKER!
We kindly ask that all phones be kept off/silent and NO photos taken during the ceremony. This is to prevent the quality of our photos from being compromised. Once the party starts, you can snap away!
Although there might be other functions running concurrently at the venue, there is ample parking for all guests inside the venue grounds. Parking will be on your right hand side upon entry into the venue.
Yes, the ceremony and reception are at the same venue. Follow the signage to the ceremony location. The MC will direct all guests to the reception.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! However, should you wish to bless us with a gift, we would prefer a gift either in the form of cash or vouchers. There will be a wedding card box at the reception. Wrapped gifts are not ideal to bring along to the wedding. However, should you wish to give a wrapped gift we kindly ask that you arrange for it to be sent to us after the wedding.
Should you have any further questions, feel free to contact the bride or the groom directly.
