At age 4, Jean came home from YMCA summer camp and declare she had a new best friend named Crystal. That was half true; she did have a new best friend but her name was actually Debbie. Twenty-seven years later, Debbie is an Ivy Leaguer, a professional dancer, multi-lingual, a new mom, and one of Jean's most treasured friends.

Captain Puhalla, Air Force Officer and aspiring Space Force member, is Alex's older brother. He has been there since day one for Alex, literally, and will be assisting the groom in attempting to eat the entire wedding cake.

YOOOOOUUUU really can't overstate how very special Jean and Ellie's friendship is. Built on a mutual love of chocolate, wine, horses, and waggish comebacks, it began at University College London while they were both studying psychology and has persisted across years, oceans, and time zones. We are overjoyed to have Ellie and her husband Chris on our side of the pond for our special day!

For more than a decade, Bryton has been making laughs, screams, and drinks with Alex. They have been through it all, from running an Improv Comedy group together, being roommates for four years, and beginning to build their grown up lives together. Bryton was there that first day Alex felt a spark for Jean. He was also there with a confetti gun when Alex proposed to Jean. For these and many other reasons, Bryton will be standing by Alex's side on his wedding day.

Sarah is Jean's cousin and the closest thing the bridal party has to a marvel super hero. This Nurse Practicioner by day, marathoner also usually by day, IPA drinker by night, dog-whisperer, and protector of babies and geriatrics thinks nothing of scaling mountains, swimming seas, or splitting a tub of peanut butter with her cousin.

Steve Tomkiel

15 years ago, Alex and Steve became best of buds in middle school theater and, since then, have spent countless hours in concert choir, at musical practices, on the ski sloops, and in the kitchen eating their favorite Polish cuisines, Kielbasa and Pierogies. Steve will be there to help Alex dance the night away and maybe, if we are lucky, provide his golden vocals for a song or two. Seriously, this guy's got pipes!

If you are looking to split a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and discuss literary theory, the influence of circadian rhythms on mania, or the existential crises of life, Maddy is your person. Maddy and Jean have slogged through grad school together, bolstering one another with late night intellectual debates and Game of Thrones viewing parties.

Also known around Philly as "Handsome Dan," Mr. Moriarity has been an indispensable friend, colleague, spotter, and drinking buddy for both Jean and Alex. Oh, and soon it will be Dr. Handsome Dan!

From the wild nights in Tampa, to traditional Christmas eve dinners in Scranton, Jean has found a close friend in the groom's sister, Christina. Christina has warmly welcomed Jean into the fun-loving Puhalla family and embraced Jean as a formidable dance partner. They have also shared many laughs via FaceTime as Christina progresses through her nursing program. Christina will be rounding out the bridal party, and bringing some serious energy to the dance floor.

From those wild Wildwood days, to those late nights at Suzy-Q rocking the "rocket," Greg has been by the grooms side through it all. It will be no different at the wedding where if asked nicely you may even get to see him do his famous dance move the "Serba rocket."
