Jeana and Patrick met at the Mooney-Gilroy wedding at the Blackstone Hotel in Chicago! Patrick's cousin, Bridget, happens to be Jeana's dear friend and coworker. They were placed at the same table at Bridget's wedding. Patrick will tell you it was a set-up (it wasn't). Jeana will tell you how lucky she was that Patrick asked to sit next to her. They both will tell you how happy they are to be getting married and officially becoming a family of four!

Patrick planned an afternoon at the Art Institute of Chicago. Afterward, he claimed to have made dinner reservations at a downtown steakhouse. On the cab ride to dinner, Patrick asked the driver to stop at the Blackstone Hotel, where they were met by a violinist who was playing one of Jeana's favorite songs. Patrick's plans should have been obvious to Jeana, but there were clues she didn't see... namely, that Patrick said he "got a Groupon" for the steak dinner, and that he was wearing a button-down shirt for the first time since the start of the pandemic. Patrick proposed in front of the hotel and Jeana joyfully accepted! Jeana soon learned, to her disappointment, that there would be no steak dinner, but instead they enjoyed a meal at the Blackstone Hotel as they called their families to share the exciting news!

The ceremony will take place at St. Paul Church in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. St. Paul is the parish church of St. Ann School, where Jeana has taught for the last 8 years. Pilsen is a very special place for Jeana. She and Patrick are excited to be able to share this vibrant neighborhood and community with you! The reception will take place just a short drive down the street from the church at Walden Chicago. We can't wait to celebrate with our friends and families! See you in Chicago!
