Jeana and Kyle met at Grand Valley State University in their "Television Media Production" class. It started with an ice-breaker when the professor asked for each student to say the coolest place you've ever been, and both Jeana and Kyle (of course) said Bonnaroo Music Festival. From there the two went to Firefly Music Festival where their love for live music (and for each other) continued to grow.
This "media power couple" went through many moves to get to their dream jobs, and what they hope is now their long-term home in Denver. From school in Grand Rapids, to "medium distance" between Kalamazoo and South Bend jobs, to our first full move together to Jacksonville, Florida (with a new furry member of the family named Luna), and now in Denver, Colorado... Kyle and Jeana have supported each others radio and television careers every step of the way.
It was the perfect day for a proposal... Friday the 13th. Jeana bought some last minute music festival tickets to "Resonate" at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, one of their favorite places in Florida. The ring came just days before the festival and while Kyle was first planning to do it at Hulaween Music Festival several months later, he decided to coordinate a photographer and pop the question at Resonate. Jeana never really said yes, just said "Oh my gosh" many, many times. And as soon as the ring was on her finger, it started torrential downpouring, clearing out the crowd to leave just a special moment in the rain for the two of them.
With Kyle from Canton and Jeana from Clinton Township, the two found themselves meeting in Detroit often when they were living at home. It became a perfect halfway point. They can't wait to celebrate in The Motor City with all of their family and friends.
