happily ever after

After living parallel lives for seven years, our paths finally crossed when our maid of honor and best man introduced us in Fall 2021. We went to different high schools in Nebraska City, yet somehow never met until the time was right! Dylan immediately reached out to Jos the day after we met. We connected instantly over our shared passions for careers, faith, family, and plants. :) Over the next two months, our friendship blossomed as we got to know each other during long late night facetime calls from our colleges six hours apart. We officially started dating a week before Christmas 2021.

Within six months of being together, we knew we were made for each other. Just one week after Jos' college graduation, we went for a quick afternoon fishing trip by her childhood home in Beaver Lake. When Dylan asked her to help him change his lure, she noticed some words engraved on it. As Josephine read the words, "Will you marry me?" she looked up to see Dylan holding open a wooden box he made with his grandfather. Even passersby on their boats witnessed their excitement and joy, calling out: "Did you just get engaged?!" Back at her parent's house, we popped champagne and celebrated with our families.

We are so excited to have you all here to celebrate with us! And we so appreciate you traveling long distances to be here with us on our special day. We hope the day is as full of love and laughter as our journey together has been so far. After the wedding, Dylan will start at his architecture firm in Lincoln, and Josephine will have two more years of law school at UNL. See you soon!
