Where do I fly into.

Answer

You can fly either into Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP), which is about an hour and a half from Rochester, or you can fly directly into Rochester (RST) which is about 20 minutes outside of town. Flights are generally more cost effective into MSP.

Are there hotel blocks

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel tab. August is a busy wedding month in Minnesota so Rochester hotels will be booking more folks in addition to their usual business and Mayo Clinic stays. We have secured hotel blocks at three properties - Hilton Mayo, Hilton Garden Inn, and Courtyard by Marriott. Each hotel property is holding a 10-room block for our wedding but more can be added if available. All are conveniently located in downtown Rochester within a five-to-ten minute drive to all the places you'll need to be and within walking distance to some good coffee shops and restaurants. Price points and amenities at each location vary. The property coordinators recommend that you book your rooms early - like now - so that if a block needs to be extended due to more requests from other wedding attendees there will be rooms available to them. You can either register using the links provided or call the hotel directly to make a reservation.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online

Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before July 15. You can simply RSVP right here on our wedding website to all the weekend festivities.

Is there parking?

Answer

The wedding venue only has the capacity for approximately 50 cars. All 3 hotels are within a 2 mile radius of the venue. We strongly encourage that guests plan to book ubers/lyfts to and from the hotel to the wedding venue.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our invitations for children are for family and wedding party only. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail/garden party. Think cocktail dresses or a floral sundress for the ladies and a nice pair of pants with a light button down for men.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

August is Minnesota's prime summertime. It will be warm with temperatures ranging in the 70s-80s. Rain could be possible (lets cross our fingers for a nice sunny day), but please pack to be prepared for any conditions. Our venue is completely outdoors.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The wedding and reception are both at Hilltop House Wedding & Events. The address is 1735 3rd Ave NW, Rochester, MN. The ceremony will be taking place outdoors; we recommend flat-soled shoes or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass. The reception will take place under their tent.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.

Will there be provided alcohol?

Answer

We will have an "open bar" to a predetermined limit that will allow 1-2 drinks per person. Once that limit is reached, it will become a cash bar. If you plan to continue to partake, please plan accordingly both financially and a safe ride home.
