What's the weather going to be like?

Answer

Get used to checking your favorite weather app, but expect a windy day. Wear your sunscreen and grass friendly shoes, and considering bringing an extra layer for the transition into evening.

What should I wear?

Answer

We invite you to turn on your style game. This can be cocktail dresses, sundresses, floral prints, dressy jumpsuits, a semi-dressy jacket and slacks. We want everyone to be comfortable, but no t-shirts and jeans please.

Can I park at the venue? Is there a shuttle?

Answer

There is no parking at the venue. There will be a shuttle service. Please see the 'Shuttle Service' tab for more important information.

Is there ride share in Hood River?

Answer

Unfortunately not. There are taxis in town, but please plan accordingly and drink responsibly. Please see the 'Schedules' tab for more information regarding shuttles to and from the venue.

Where are JD and Rachel staying and when will we be in Hood River?

Answer

We will be staying at the Columbia Gorge Hotel. We will be in Hood River from Thursday to Sunday midday-ish.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we would love to be able to invite all the kids, the venue would like us to limit the number of kids as much as possible. Per the venue (caps lock included), "children under 12 MUST be supervised at all times. Children may not roam the property on their own. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN DUE TO THE PROXIMITY TO A CLIFF AND ROAD." If you feel like your child is unable to be quiet, we ask that you take them to the lower lawn during the ceremony. JD gets distracted very easily and doesn't want to mess up her vows. With this said, there will be children in attendance, please contact JD or Rachel if you have questions. Thank you for your understanding.

Are you registered?

Answer

Your presence is the best gift we could ask for. But if you insist, help send us on a honeymoon to remember!

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We will have a professional photographer. During the ceremony, please keep phones down and let the photographer do her magic. With that said, we encourage guests to post reception pictures to their social media. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #JDandRachel2022 so we can see all of your pictures.

Will we be outdoors the entire time?

Answer

Yes, expect to be outside most of the time. The actual Griffin HOUSE is off limits during the wedding, except for the wedding party. There will be a large tent for everyone to eat in on the lower lawn. You'll also be indoors when you have to use the bathroom (trailers), at least we hope so =)

Answer

Yes! Drink responsibly and bring some tip money for the Booze Truck. What's a Booze Truck? You'll find out soon enough.

Are pets allowed?

Answer

Unfortunately not. As much as we love Butters and Homer, there will be no pets at the wedding.
