On a Saturday afternoon, Rabecca and JD both attended a day party in Chicago’s West Loop—completely unaware that this casual outing would mark the beginning of their forever. As the afternoon went on, JD and his friends decided it was time to leave. Just before he walked away, Rabecca caught his attention and asked him to come over. They shared a brief conversation, exchanged contact information, and unknowingly set the foundation for what would become their love story. Their connection deepened quickly. From their very first real conversation, it was clear they shared the same values—especially their deep appreciation for family and food. One week later, they went on their first official date at Mercadito, bonding over tacos and margaritas and realizing how effortlessly they clicked. With both dating intentionally and with marriage in mind, their relationship naturally grew to the next level. Over the next nine months, JD and Rabecca became inseparable, traveling together to Charleston, Toronto, New York, Park City, Geneva, Chamonix, New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Mexico City.
