The story of how we met differs when you ask the person. If you ask Mackenzie, she will tell you that her best friend Sav introduced her to "this guy she just had to meet." If you ask JD, he will tell you that his teammate Kyle Hindman introduced him to "this group of softball players that just showed up". With whichever side you choose to agree with, both of us will tell you that we absolutely knew that the other person was special. We were friends for a long time before we went on our first date, and even on our first date Macy tagged along of course. As time passed, we celebrated various anniversaries, athletic and academic achievements, and professional accomplishments. We have learned from each other over the years. Since we have met, we have experienced a lot of firsts. Mackenzie made her first birdie and gone out of the country for the first time. Whereas, JD has read his first book cover to cover and has ran his first (and second) 5K. It was so special that we were able to experience college together. A time that is usually so chaotic for students wasn't because we were each other's constant. JD proposed to Mackenzie at sunset at the Peabody Rooftop surrounded by friends and family. We continue to love and support each other through our Master's programs, wedding planning and our careers! We cannot wait to celebrate our marriage with each and everyone of you! Much love from the future Goodspeeds!
