We met in February 2024 at a bar in Charlotte, North Carolina. We quickly became friends and found ourselves around each other all the time. Eventually, JD told Sam how he felt, and things grew naturally from there. Over time, we realized we kept gravitating toward each other and that life was simply better together. Sam’s passion, her ability to love others, and her positive outlook are just a few of the things JD admires most. Sam loves JD’s drive, motivation, and ability to make life fun. We laugh a lot, bring out the best in one another, and share a competitive bond from our days as Division I athletes. On November 15, 2025, JD proposed in a private botanical garden surrounded by beauty — and Sam said yes. We’re so grateful for the love and support of our family and friends and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone on November 14, 2026
