Haley grew up in Phoenix, AZ and now serves her local community as a dermatology PA. She is strong as a mother and gave birth to an earthside angel named Charlie in September 2022! She is naturally gifted and makes anything aside from opening food packaging look easy - she has taught Claire how to snowboard, how to chop vegetables correctly, and how to heal without becoming hardened. She came into Claire's life at exactly the right time and drastically changed its trajectory, and we are forever grateful. Y'all better watch out for Haley Gracie on the dance floor!
Isley Frazier
Best Man
Jon met Isley very shortly after he met Claire, and they’ve been horizontal homies ever since. In the past 4 years, they’ve been through some difficult times together, but they always come out the other side stronger. Its astounding how much about "life" Jon has learned from Isley, and for that, he is forever grateful. Isley is the better half of Dekez & Danglez and can dunk a basketball if you double dare him. His only kryptonite is Professor Snape. He and his wife Haley have a gorgeous baby girl named Charlie.
Rachel Cushman

Rachel grew up in Tipton, Iowa where she played basketball despite being 5' 2". Her ability to dream big only grew from there, as she graduated high school early and proceeded to become the first person in her family to get a college degree. Now, she works as a Plastic Surgery PA in Phoenix, where she lives with her husband, Taylor, whom she met on Match.com and their son, Avery Mathew, who is turning 3 this March! Rachel is constantly learning, and regularly finds new obsessions. She has an ability to make anyone feel like family, but her real superpower is her resilience. Rachel has taught Claire to never give up, on herself or anyone else. She is an inspiration to everyone who gets the opportunity to know her.
Maxwell Millermaier

The Captain of the mens league hockey team based out of City Ice in Brooklyn, New York circa 2014. Max was the glue behind all of the gents - and boy did they need a lot of glue. Not only did he hand pick each team member (and hand remove some), he also organized each game played for 18 seasons which spanned over 9 years. His infectious smile, hidden musical talents and incredibly positive outlook on life, are only some of his amazing qualities. If you get a chance, ask him about his twin - he lives in Brazil and has the curliest hair in all the land. Max has a stud of a son named Zach that LOVES hot sauce.
Amara Spady

Jonathan's sweet baby sister and original best friend. Claire's forever friend and soon to be sister! Amara is a brilliant woman who left the true north to pursue her education, ultimately receiving her JD from ASU's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and practicing corporate law. Even more impressive, she and her husband Derek have been married for over 10 years and are raising 3 happy, healthy, and beautiful daughters named Vayle, Aspyn, and Apres who look just like her - and Jon ;) She is by far the top boat driver in the family, fiercely loyal, strives to be the best person she can be, and will do anything for her loved ones. Amara truly does it all!
Kyle Abramowski
Best Man
Aber and Jon have been besties prior to dropping our testes. Jon has known Kyle since they stepped on the ice in '91 at the legendary Broadmoor arena in Sherwood Park, Alberta. To this day, Jon is still a bit confused how their friendship became so strong, because Aber is a goalie and tendys are "interesting" characters. To support the previous statement, Aber had a "Fast and the Furious" era and owned a crotch rocket for 3 years. Jon is proud to call Aber one of his best friends, but has yet to fully forgive him for the Chernanzky incident of 1999. Bless his wife for tolerating him and bringing their 3 amazing children into this world.
Erin Johnson

As the eldest, Erin has always been a devoted sister - keeping an eye on Claire, caring, and sharing every little thing that she was wearing. Erin taught her siblings new things with a natural patience and gentleness, and she continues doing so as a kindergarten teacher in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Erin has put the Johnson sibling stubbornness to good use, running a full marathon and biking from the Atlantic to the Gulf multiple times. She reads constantly, loves decorating for Christmas just as much as Claire, is committed to shopping locally, and even keeps bees in her backyard!
Kellen Kunyk
Best Man
Kuny is a certified beauty from Sherwood Park, Alberta and Jon grew up playing hockey with him from a young age. He had the first white Bauer supreme stick in Canada, and his clapper was compared to that of a heat seeking missile. Not only are his mitts silky, but his golf swing is smoother than butter. Kellen and Jon shared plenty of good times at the Belvedere Golf and CC and always played until it was pitch black out. When you see Kellen during the wedding, ask him about his Shawn Desman phase, it was pure GOLD. He and his wife recently welcomed his second handsome son into this world.
Tannis Breure

Tannis grew up all over the map, from Camrose, Alberta to Gilbert, Arizona. Our ethereal STEMinist baddie who is somehow equal parts brains and beauty, she is currently in graduate school at UCLA and about to take the carbon capture industry by storm. She speaks Dutch, does stick and poke tattoos which will be featured throughout the wedding, and her party tricks include guessing your Myers-Briggs type or finding the pregnant person in the room with her wildly accurate pregnancy radar. She listens patiently regardless of any impending exams when Claire wants to externally process, is the most loyal comrade, and gives elite hugs. In a recent worldwide meta-analysis, it was found that Tannis makes the world a better place (p < 0.005).
John Ballantyne
Best Man
JB is Jon’s twin tower from medical school on the beautiful island of St. Maarten. This guy is a beast on the sand volleyball pit and was even better on medical school exams. He got Jon through a difficult time back in the day, and he is forever in his debt. At the age of 22, this gem introduced Jon to the art of disc jockeying, and they immediately bonded. Please blame him for all the sleepless nights. When you see him on the dance floor beware....... because he has the SCHTIGHTEST pants in north of the border. He resides in Ottawa, Ontario and has two precious rug rats of his own.
Taylor Cushman

Taylor had an idyllic childhood in Phoenix, playing hockey and taking care of his ferrets, Slinky & Camille. He went to college in Iowa where he met his wife, Rachel, received his medical degree from the University of Arizona, and completed his internal medicine residency in 2022. His most cherished achievement is being father to his son, Avery. He is wicked smart, sarcastic yet sincere, and competitive, although he has lost his edge as he has aged. Taylor has been an unwavering source of safety and support in Claire's life since 8/3/2018. He encourages Jon to be true to himself no matter the scenario and get more sleep. He is an uncompromising example of how to live intentionally. Taylor has taken the privilege of a good life and by no accident turned it into a great one, and he wants that for everyone else as well.
