It all began in the same neighborhood where two hearts grew close, unaware that God was already writing a beautiful love story. Regine and JB lived only a few steps apart, yet it took time for them to realize how special their bond would become. JB, who is four years older, quietly admired Regine from the very beginning. What started as a simple friendship slowly blossomed into something deeper and more meaningful, guided by faith and love, a love that has grown stronger for nine (9) beautiful years. Their journey was built on love, humility, and selflessness. While Regine was in college, JB worked hard as a welder, moving from place to place just to help her fulfill her dreams. When Regine graduated in 2019, she gave back that same love and dedication by working while JB pursued his studies. She also supported him financially during his schooling. In 2023, JB proudly completed his college degree. Over the years, they proved that true love grows stronger when built on trust, understanding, and faith. They faced challenges together and celebrated every success side by side, never letting distance or difficulty weaken their bond. In 2024, Regine achieved her dream of becoming a teacher in the Department of Education, earning a regular position after years of perseverance and prayer. A year later, JB also received a regular position in the same department as an Administrative Officer II. Regine and JB continue to walk hand in hand, grounded in love and faith, growing closer with each passing day. They are not perfect, but they live each day covered by God’s grace and mercy. This marks the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in their lives—a story that goes beyond love itself. The proposal was meant to be a surprise in Bohol, as JB had carefully planned a special trip with Regine, along with some of his co-workers from LGU Samal. He coordinated everything, the place, the decorations, and even got help from his co-workers to make it perfect. But when JB asked for Regine’s parents’ permission, her mother accidentally spilled the secret! She jokingly told Regine, “You need to get your nails done!” completely unaware that it was supposed to be a surprise. Because of that little slip, the proposal had to be moved up and happened earlier than planned, right in Samal Island. But in hindsight, it was exactly how God planned it. Surrounded by the people who love and support them, JB’s proposal became everything Regine had been dreaming and praying for: a simple, intimate, and meaningful moment shared with all their loved ones. What was meant to be a surprise in Bohol turned into Regine’s perfect dream come true — a blessed and unforgettable celebration of their love.
