Whenever JB dated someone, her protective Godfather, David Nunes would jokingly interrogate them. Davebo’s big, loud, energetic presence was intimidating to all of her potential suitors. This tradition was one of JB’s favorite memories of him, who sadly passed away in 2014. JB had always envisioned Davebo to officiate her wedding, so when he passed, it was hard for her to imagine getting married without him there. Since then, she’s been on the hunt to find someone who would embody similar traits to him, which was going to be a hard shoe to fill! One summer night, JB & Chase were talking with JB’s god brother’s father, “Big Teddy.”Both families had just booked their annual trip to Aspen for Christmas week. Chase was telling Ted how excited he was to ski Aspen since he had never been before. Ted took one look at Chase and said, “Uhhhhhh you’re not comin' till you put a ring on it!” It was that exact moment that JB knew if Chase and she were to ever get married Ted would be the one to marry them. After JB & Chase got engaged in November, they were so excited to share the news and celebrate with everyone in Aspen, especially Teddy. *Picture above was taken right after asking Ted to be their officiant*

JB has been a nanny for Jack for almost four years. After Chase popped the question, JB showed up to work the following day with Jack waiting by the door for her arrival, “Beeb!!!! I’m so happy, I'm comin' to your weddin' wight?” JB & Chase couldn't imagine not having Jack be a part of their special day.
