Classic New Orleans venue for live music. Just go. Located Uptown on Napoleon Ave.
Raised boardwalks take you a few miles through the swamps at the nature preserve. Amazing way to see the landscape and a ton of wildlife. (Gators, snakes, birds, etc.) It can get pretty buggy, just as a heads up. You’ll definitely need a car -- it’s about 30 mins from the city.
You can grab it at canal and take it out to one of the above bars or for a walk through Audubon Park.
A bicycle tour is a great way to get some fresh air and explore different New Orleans neighborhoods. Experience the Treme, Marigny, or Esplanade Ridge on an intimate group tour led by an expert guide. There is also the option to enjoy Bayou St. John by kayak on a Pedal to Paddle Tour.
You can rent kayaks at city park or up a ways at Bayou Paddlesports. Paddle around Demourelles Island to see some crazy houses.

Go across the river on the Canal/Algiers Ferry for $2 cash each way. Walk the levee in Algiers or stop in at Old Point Bar for a beer. The 10-min ride makes for great views of the city.
