He came across Jazmine's profile and felt intrigued. He enjoyed how her profile looked: she was cute with great pictures, had good answers, a voice note, and seemed to align with his own dating beliefs. Meanwhile, Jazmine was starting her very first day of substitute teaching, 7th grade to be exact. She was on her own lunch break when she was notified of someone liking her profile. She had just recently gotten back onto Hinge after pausing it for two weeks, nervous to step foot in a world she had no knowledge about. It was Will. She liked how he looked, his pictures were nice, and they seemed to align on dating ideals. One picture of his almost made her decline, he was dressed in tactical gear, and so she thought he was military and those were men she did not do with. His response was what really caught her eye. It was clear he had actually looked through her profile because instead of liking her first picture and asking a question, Will liked her voice note and had a genuine question about her. Taking a chance, she chose to hit the green checkmark, respond to his question, and match. On this day, Jazmine had matched with two people, and Will had matched with one. Conversations between the two were paragraphs long. It flowed naturally and within two days Will asked Jazmine on a date. She enthusiastically accepted, and requested that they have a phone call before the date. The night before their date, Jazmine and Will had a phone call that lasted two hours.
