Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting a black-tie optional dress code for our wedding. Ladies may wear a sleek jumpsuit, a fancy cocktail dress, or trendy skirt/pants and top. Gentlemen are asked to wear a suit and tie or a button down with dress pants/khakis and a jacket (optional). No jeans, please.

Question

Can I bring a guest/ plus one?

Answer

Due to a limited capacity at our wedding venue, we can only allow the people named on your invitation and unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Your invitation will be made out to "{Your Name} & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, we hope you understand that this is an adults only celebration and children are only invited if named. Your invitation will be made out to "The {Your Last Name} Family" if your children have been invited. We appreciate you making prior arrangements so that you can celebrate with us!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive no more than 45 minutes before the ceremony begins.

Question

Where will the ceremony and reception be held?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Heyward Manor in Iva SC. The ceremony will take place outside under a beautiful oak tree, with a cocktail hour immediately following outside on the patio. Once we have had introductions, our first dance, and the father/daughter - mother/son dances, we will enter the reception area inside to enjoy a delicious meal and some dancing.

Question

Will the ceremony be outside?

Answer

We’re thrilled to share that both the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside, weather permitting. Afterward, we’ll move the festivities indoors for the reception. We can’t wait to enjoy this special day with all of you!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We’ve decided to have an open bar at our wedding to create a fun and festive atmosphere for all our guests. We understand that some guests may not drink or prefer a more subdued setting, and we completely respect that. To accommodate everyone, we’ll also have a variety of non-alcoholic beverages and mocktails available. Our goal is for everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the celebration, whether they choose to drink or not!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask you to turn off your ringers during the wedding ceremony and refrain from taking photos/videos. We have professional photographers and videographers to capture all the special moments and are excited to share their photos with you

Question

Where can I stay for the weekend?

Answer

Under the "travel" tab, there are different hotel options listed, including one that we have rooms blocked for. Don't forget to check it out!

For all the days along the way
