One morning I could not help but notice this adorable, curly haired boy a few picnic tables away. I immediately leaned over and told my best friend Sarah that I had just laid eyes on THE cutest boy I’d ever seen. Her response, of course, was “ewww that’s Taylor!” Little did I know that he was Sarah’s other best childhood friend, and that at that moment, in her head (even though she screamed ewww!), she was already envisioning our kids and whether they would be tan like me or pale like Taylor! We dated on and off throughout middle school, sharing so many “firsts” that neither of us will ever forget! First kisses, first school dances together, first “I love you”. As with all kids our age, we had no idea what we were doing and with all of the excitement and new changes that come with transitioning into high school, we parted ways. Sarah has demanded that I state, for the record, that she always told the both of us how ridiculous it was that we wasted our time on anyone but each other, as we were so clearly meant to be-two peas in a pod-simply put, soulmates. On March 19, 2006 we found our way back to each other and Taylor asked me to be his girlfriend- again! Our love has continued to grow and flourish ever since. We enjoy cooking, traveling (esp. to our favorite city NOLA!), to attending Bucs games, spending time with family and friends, to owning a home together, as well as becoming aunts and uncles as our immediate families grew! Because of these memories and our love for each other, this chapter of our relationship became even more special than the first. After 11 years of dating, on January 21, 2017, Taylor got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever! On that same day, Taylor surprised me with an engagement party @ The Big Easy Bar in Ybor City including all of our closest family and friends! It was there, amongst all of our favorite people, that Taylor came forth with yet another huge surprise, asking me to marry him in our favorite city, New Orleans.
