We're Getting Married

We met during the Plenty of Fish (POF) online era of dating in November 2015. We both recently had made profiles and within a few days we saw each other and swiped right to connect. He appeared in Jazmin's possible interest or match, she pressed LIKE real fast and then Omiyon returned the favor. We sent a total of maybe 5 messages, but she clearly knew what she wanted said Omiyon which made me fall instantly in love. So Jazmin being Jazmin, asked him “Are you going to ask me for my number, because I’m ready to get off this site?”. At that rate, he knew the type of woman he wanted as well and asked for her number. Omiyon, said when they started dating, he knew she was the one for him. Jazmin said, "I'm glad I told him to ask for my number, because he would have been missing on something great had he not."Nine years later, we are making it official official!

Easter weekend 2023, we were headed back to Jazmin's hometown of Marianna, Arkansas. We had made plans to have a date night while there, so my parents could get one-on-one time with the kids and we could have some as well. So Friday we ran behind schedule and had reservations at this restaurant. I was like let's just cancel, we are going to be late and it’s going to be a lot to get ready and whatnot in time. He of course was like no we can make it (because he had this planned out), but I pushed and said no we can just do it another day. He was annoyed after that lol (rightfully so, I had just ruined his proposal)! But I turned it around, I found another nice restaurant for us to go to the next day (not as fancy as the first). He was in better spirits after that. Now during all this, I had no clue what was going on, I just wanted to make up for canceling our previous plans. We finish eating and he’s like we should take a picture, okay sure no big deal. He asked one of the workers to do it. I’m looking in the window making sure I look straight, and I turn around he is holding out the ring box. Honestly, I can’t tell you what he said, but I did hear “I love you, and will you marry me?!?” I was in shock, and said, “Are you serious, and is this for real?” My mind could not believe what was happening. I was laughing and crying the entire time lol. But eventually the word “YES” finally came out (I’m sure it felt like forever to him). I saw him give a sigh of relief and relax! After it all, I was all teeth! I had the biggest grin the entire weekend and still today. He got me, and he got me good, just like I know he wanted to. Kudos to my parents, especially my mom for keeping it together.
