We met through Tinder in August 2021. Jazmin swiped right, Nate did too, and the rest is history. We’re proof that dating apps work. 😉 Our first date unfolded in Ann Arbor where laughter and conversation flowed over a delicious dinner at Mani Osteria. Afterwards, Jazmin introduced Nate to the delectable delights of Blank Slate Creamery where we consumed an unhealthy amount of ice cream (seriously, you HAVE to try it!). We then found ourselves being eaten alive by mosquitos at the Nichols Arboretum as we sat along the Huron River with our toes in the water. Oh, the things you do for love.
On July 29th, Jazmin was under the initial impression that they were headed to a formal dinner celebration for Nate's mom's birthday, when the evening took a turn. A call from Nate's mom on the way to dinner conveyed unfortunate news regarding his dad's sudden bout with vertigo, prompting a change of plans. Since it was such a beautiful day, Nate suggested taking a trip to the Nichols Arboretum, a place that holds much sentimental value. After walking along the paths and down many steps, Nate led Jazmin to the exact spot where they had once been during their first date. With the Huron River flowing behind them, Nate got on one knee and proposed a lifelong commitment of love to Jazmin. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Ann Arbor!
