It started with a summer program (MAPS) at Kansas State University... they were sitting across from each other at orientation and Jason introduced himself. Their friendship began immediately from that moment. They spent an incredible amount of time together throughout the program and into their first semester of college. They tackled some hardships, but also experienced some unforgettable memories. From that point, they were inseparable. You could also say they were raising their first child together, Pepper (the cutest cat you'll ever meet). Eventually, Jazmin moved away from family and everything she knew in Manhattan, Kansas to start a life with Jason where he grew up... Arlington, Texas. They learned so much as they entered adulthood having no idea what they got themselves into! It was difficult truly being on their own for the first time, but as always, they overcame every obstacle that was thrown at them (of course with the support of family and friends). Jason made a courageous decision to join the U.S. Air Force recently to provide for their future. The couple was legally married at the courthouse just before Jason left for Basic Military Training. In fact, on the weekend of his graduation, he finally put a beautiful ring on Jazmin's finger! After Jason completed tech school, they packed up their belongings and headed to their first duty station in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and are both currently working at Hurlburt Field. The order in which everything occurred wasn't traditional, but they wouldn't have changed their journey for the world. Jazmin most definitely did not want to miss out on a wedding, though, so March 8th is certainly going to be an evening to remember.
