It all started with God making a change in their lives. God had it all planned out and little did they know that it was going to be good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans12:2). Isaac and Jazmin knew of each other growing up but, it never went past a causal conversation. Years passed, and God started to work in their lives. Jazmin began falling more and more in love with God by listening to His word along with Bible based preaching/podcasts. While that was going on, Jazmin had no idea that Isaac was doing the same. They both had their mind set on only doing God’s will and nothing less. As they served in the same church event’s together little by little Jazmin and Isaac were being drawn together. In one particular instance, Isaac and Jazmin found each other on the same volleyball team after the Sunday night service. It was a causal night like any other Sunday night until Isaac decided to go up for a spike. Now, it’s not the spike that left the impression on him but the thought that when he was coming down he accidentally knocked Jazmin off to the side which led to her falling straight into his arms for about 2.5 seconds. “What’re the odds” as Isaac would say, and so nothing much was made out of that night or that’s what it seemed like to the public. Some time passed and they would constantly see each other at friend gathering’s or birthday parties which slowly but surely God was indirectly connecting them together. It was on January 12th, 2022 during a college Main Event activity where Isaac finally built up the courage to intentionally talk to Jazmin. It all started when he walked up and saw her bowling his turn and well, after the night we can say he hit all strikes. In bowling that’s a good thing but, not so much in baseball but talking about baseball it was on May 19th, 2022 at a baseball game where Isaac finally got the courage (with some help of a friend) to intentionally ask Jazmin if she would like to take a picture with him. After that night the pieces of the puzzle started to connect the picture God was trying to show them all along. As they sung together in the same chapel group, went to camp together, laughed together, the time that they would spend together would seem like it was just never enough. It was on December 31st, 2023 where Isaac decided to ask Jazmin to marry him and now, here they are, excited for what is to come but also happy and blessed for what God has done.
