What is the venue like?

Kairos Resort: Shumate Falls Road, Glen Lyn, Virginia 24093 An outdoor venue in the mountains of Appalachia. Please keep an eye on the weather in the days leading up to the wedding. In the event of rain, the ceremony may be moved indoors and we have limited umbrellas on site.

Yes, parking on site. Carpooling recommended if possible!

What if I'm early? What if I'm late?
Answer
If you are early on the day of--no big deal! We have the venue for the entire day. If you arrive later than the start time of our ceremony, please observe the remaining ceremony from outside of the seating area. It is an open amphitheater, so you will be able to still have a perfect view while not disturbing the ongoing ceremony.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We have hired a wonderful photographer and videographer to capture the ceremony, and would prefer our guests to be present with us during one of the most important moments of our lives. We are confident that all special moments of the ceremony will be captured by our team :) All photos and videos will be available to guests once the portfolio is complete!

Of course. We will also have water bottles on site during cocktail hour and through dinner.

What can I expect after the ceremony?
Answer
There will be cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing! During cocktail hour, there will be a book that we would love for you to leave a note in. We have hired a DJ, a bartender, a self-operated photo booth with props, and a typewriter poet; something for everyone!
