Our Story

from Diego

Once upon a time at the Portland International Airport between luggage and airplanes I found my best friend. We used to work late and sometimes when flights were delayed to stay awake we would go to the coffee shop and get cake half off (the midnight special discount hahaha). One of those nights I remember teaching Jazmin Spanish, well trying to, haha. We used to have long conversations, and learning from each other, Jazmin would tell me about her life growing up in the Pacific Northwest, the green, wet, and beautiful outdoors. While I would tell her about my life growing up in the crazy busy city of Buenos Aires. We were much younger back then, and then life took us in different directions, as we both chased different careers and left the airport. I thought that was the last time I would see Jazmin, but life didn’t think so. Somehow we got reconnected again, but this time something had changed, something inside of us, and outside too, her name is Roxi. But it was more than that, it was like we had known each other our entire lives and we couldn’t be apart. I couldn’t stay away from my best friend ever again, that’s why I wanted to marry her and be with her for the rest of our lives.

A Message From Jazmin & Diego

Over the past few months, the world has changed. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we have decided to adjust our wedding plans, limit travel, and reduce our planned invite list dramatically to adhere to safe numbers of people gathering so our wedding can go on. We are so sorry to have to do this, but we hope you understand. We love you all and wish we could have invited everyone to celebrate this special day with us. We are planning to have a reception at a later date, after this crisis has passed. At this point the situation is so uncertain we don’t know when that will be however, we will be in touch when we have a date and would love for you to join the celebration! Please hold us in your hearts on August 22nd as we make our vows to each other. This is not how we originally envisioned entering married life, but we are doing so with an even greater appreciation of life and love. We plan to livestream the wedding ceremony on Facebook and Instagram, around 4:00 pm (Pacific Time) on Saturday August 22nd. We hope that you may be able to tune in at that time. Be well, be safe. Love, Jazmin & Diego
