He wasn't always interested in romance, in fact, the only thing he would give any attention to in his young twenties was his music. But eventually, after seeing both of his brothers find love, his heart softened to the idea. Once he met Jaz, he knew that she was the one and he was ready to open up and share his life with her.

Born and raised in Louisiana, this beautiful little southern songbird was Jaz’s saving grace during her time in New Orleans. Together they’ve sang, cried, gone through break-ups and found their ‘Mister Rights.’ They’ve shared the world’s greatest banana bread, enough Congregation Coffee to turn their blood into caffeine and just the right amount of late night chats to secure a bond that will last forever. If there’s a Sunny D nearby you bet your bottom dollar there’s a tearfully laughing Jazzycat right beside her.
Nick Solnick
Best Man
Solnick was Thomas’s drum buddy during his time in New Orleans. They played a tremendous amount of gigs of all kinds of different music! During their time together in NOLA, they were roomies with Kyle. This musketeer combo made Thomas feel like a real Slidell boy. One of Thomas’s fondest memories with Solnick was when with they, along with Peña, embarked on the prestigious John Muir trail. It was the road trip of his life.

Kirsten has always been a breath of fresh air for Jaz. No matter the time or season, when Kristen comes around the world lights up. She’s supportive, inspiring, beautiful, and enlightening. A beacon of positivity that beams brightly. After time with Kristen, it’s natural to feel refreshed and ready to conquer your dreams. Anyone would be so lucky to call this wonderful woman their friend.

Peña and Thomas go way back, they first met when Thomas was an exchange student at UNO. The two ended up becoming really close when T returned to NOLA for his Masters. Peña showed Thomas how the Deep South worked and treated him like family. They travelled quite a bit around the world and always stayed in touch. Thanks to Peña, Thomas associates his time in America as warm and positive.

It all started with a piece of fudge that turned into weekly cooking dates and ultimately bloomed into love. Chelsea is an exemplary woman unafraid to travel wherever her heart calls. She lives boldly, balancing a career she's passionate about without losing sight of her musical dreams. An inspiration to many, Jaz has looked up to Chelsea since the day she heard Ms. Twiss sing at Central Washingon University's Songwriters Club.

Jazmarae's Uncle Cisco is one of the first family members Thomas met on a trip to California! They hit it off immediately, bonding over delicious wine and Chamorro BBQ. Thomas couldn't think of a more perfect addition to his party than this music-loving, dancing king!

While Annie and Hallie made a mess of it in, "The Parent Trap," and Lizzie almost sabotaged Isabella's career in, "The Lizzie McGuire Movie," Jazmarae and Steffie's lives got so much better once they swapped places! Originally from a small town in the Netherlands, Steffie really started to take flight once she moved to one of the largest cities in the world, New York. She's created incredible films, has been successfully active in movements for female-empowerment and has seen her work displayed at multiple festivals around the world! She's an incredible woman and one of the sweetest and most giving friends.

Thomas has been good friends with Kyle since they found themselves as roommates in New Orleans. They would hang out, check out live music, party, and always find themselves in some sort of silly situation. It's safe to say there was never a dull moment on Republic St in Gentilly.

The day that Kim and Jaz discovered they were neighbors was a day that changed their lives for the better. Even at the young age of 12, Jaz knew that this was a friendship that would last the long haul. From their weekly psychoanalytic walks, to their royal reign at Olympic High School’s homecoming, to dancing the night away at a random and empty Berlin disco, they’ve held strong these last 18 years, and they’ll continue to hold strong for at least 18 more.

Vaughn is Jazmarae's (not so) little brother and he has always held a special place in her heart. Many of their memories together were forged in their early years of childhood, but from a distance Jaz watched him grow up to be a man easy to be proud of.

Colleen entered Jaz’s life with a bang. When they met, that was it; they were immediate friends. In fact there was a long period of time that you couldn’t find these two apart. But eventually college had to come to an end and it was no longer possible for them to always be together. Although they may not see each other as often, every time they catch up it feels as though no time has passed. Out of all of her friends, there is none that Jaz is more proud of. Colleen has faced the challenges that have come her way with a determination that is unparalleled. She is an inspirational woman, an amazing (dog) mom, and an incredible friend.
