Who would have thought a random encounter at a restaurant would become the love connection we both longed for... Relationships are hard and we both had our share of heartbreak. Vowing to ourselves that we were tired of being disappointed by what we thought was love we silently decided that being in a serious relationship was out of the question. As many have said, God's plan is not ours and on a Sunday afternoon God connected Jaz and Toine through a random encounter at a restaurant. The story is a bit merky as to who pursued who but it is clear that his swag and her sass made these two strong willed individuals interested in exchanging numbers, which then resulted in the first date. Since that first date we've shared many fun times and just as many arguments. To say that our personalities have clashed is an understatement, but through prayer and being committed to being better versions of ourselves by seeking guidance from God, we are committed to cultivating the relationship that God made happen... Our relationship has been tested but love prevails... If he is being truthful, there's something about Jazz that won't allow him to stay away; and if she's being honest Toine is the only man she truly doesn't want to be without. Collectively, they have embraced God's plan and are the beneficiaries of His will for their life. God has shown us favor by blessing us with a beautiful daughter, Kennedy Synai. We know to whom much is given, much is required and more ministry will come from our union. Every woman believes in a dream proposal, Prince Charming would find her, sweep her off her feet and they live happily ever after... Well our story is kind of that way...we love hosting parties, a typical party consists of libations, music and a competitive game of Uno! New Year's Eve 2020 leading into 2021, Antoine decided to make it known that I was the one! We were having a great evening, eating, drinking, dancing...and then Toine asked me to slip into something more comfy...little did I know, our daughter was in on the surprise, he dressed her in a shirt that said "will you marry my dad" and my shirt said "Soon to be Mrs. Latimer" simply put, he liked it and put a ring on it. Our original plans to marry were interrupted by disagreement and the wedding was off. We parted ways, friendships changed, we suffered the loss of loved ones but the genuine love for one another never waivered... On May 29, 2022, love came back around and once again, our daughter was in on the surprise... While I was getting dressed, our daughter ran in the room and handed me a ring box and said "here mommy". I looked up and Antoine was in the hallway on his knee. We created our daughter in love and through prayer, learning effective communication we are ready to unite as one and accept God's plan for our life! We are excited God has joined us one with the other, and now we are the family unit we prayed to become and longed for!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres
