Kids are more than welcome to come to the Indian ceremony on Oct 25. However due to capacity limits at our American ceremony and reception venue, the only children at our wedding are those in the wedding party and immediate family.
Unfortunately, we are on a tight budget and have limited space, so we simply can’t afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Plus ones are therefore by invitation only and we ask other guests to please not bring a plus one! Thank you for understanding!!
This was a tough decision for both of us but due to costs between both weddings and capacity at the American wedding venue, we have decided to have the American wedding be more intimate. We decided the Indian wedding is where we would have everyone we love and care about in one place and the American wedding would be for immediate family and close friends.
Formal (black tie optional) NO WHITE DRESSES
Women: If shopping in person ask for sharara, gharara or anarkali style suit! If you don’t want to wear a Punjabi suit you are more than welcome to wear a modest floor length dress with short sleeves (or longer) with a scarf as a head covering. Shoes will be taken off at the Gurdwara so wear something comfy and easy to slip in and out of!
