Our Story

Our story began in March 2020, in the quiet chaos of the world shutting down—though we had no idea we were stepping into the beginning of forever. A casual phone call with mutual friends and a few Fortnite matches quickly turned into late-night FaceTime calls, texting non-stop, and hanging out every weekend we were allowed to. Josiah made the first move, but the bride will admit she never saw it as “just friendship”—even though she tried to convince herself it was, just to avoid losing him. Looking back, we’re both so glad she didn’t succeed. One of our first hangouts was a Dutch Bros run with friends, and our very first date was Serial Grillers and Dunkin’ Donuts—simple, sweet, and perfect. Josiah says he knew from the moment he first saw her in person… especially when she ended up painting his nails that same day. He started calling her “Giggles” because she laughed at everything he said—secretly (but not-so-secretly) completely in love with him. Our young love grew with us as we became young adults. We built a life side by side, moved into our first place together, and added our fur babies Binx and Archie to our little family. There was never a single moment where “forever” wasn’t the plan—because truly, there has never been a version of life where we weren’t meant to be together. Now, as Josiah nears graduation and commissioning into the Air Force and we step into this next chapter hand in hand, we’re grateful every day that a global pause, a video game, and a few late-night calls brought us the love of our lives.
