Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Please note, Dune Boutique Hotel (where guests are staying) does not allow children.

Question

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE FOR THE WEDDING?

Answer

In traditional Latin culture, it is customary for women to wear colorful, floor-length dresses (but not black-tie formal). Think beach party with a Latin flair. Men, avoid a FORMAL black suit. Of course, if you have a more beach-appropriate suit, you are welcome to wear it. If a suit isn't your style, you can opt for nice slacks/chinos, loafers, button-downs, and blazer. *No short dresses or shorts allowed.

Question

WHAT'S THE DRESS CODE FOR THE WHITE PARTY?

Answer

The dress code is pretty much what it sounds like, all white. It is a beach club, so basically, anything white goes, short dresses, jumpsuits, shorts, even bathing suit cover-ups!

Question

HOW MUCH CASH SHOULD I BRING?

Answer

More is always better than less. Here is a breakdown of the minimum cash necessary: Cenote Tour - $95 Tabboo Beach Club - $200 Transportation to the Airport - $150 *Misc. tips, taxi rides, etc. will all be cash, so please come prepared! *Cards are accepted at most restaurants and hotels.

Question

Transportation?

Answer

Airport to Hotel: Compliments of the bride and groom! Hotel to Airport: Will be at each guest's own expense. Guests can utilize the same company, coordinate with the driver upon drop off. Within Tulum: Most of Tulum is very walkable from the hotel zone, but should you wish to go further, you can get to almost anywhere with a $15 cab ride.

Question

COVID-19 TESTING?

Answer

Prior to Arrival in Mexico: We want everyone to feel as safe as possible celebrating in Mexico. We do request that if you are not fully vaccinated, that you please get tested prior to departure to ensure we all safely celebrating together. Prior to Departure from Mexico: It is required that you receive a negative COVID test within 3 days of departure from Mexico. Testing is quick and easy and results will be provided the same day. For guests staying and The Dune Boutique Hotel, a free COVID test is included with your stay, schedule an appointment upon check-in. For guests staying at Los Arrecifes and anywhere else, there is a COVID testing facility across from Los Arrecifes and can schedule a time at any point. Cost will be roughly $25.

Question

IS THERE CELL PHONE SERVICE IN MEXICO?

Answer

You can add international calling to most phone plans, however, the easiest and most economical way will be WhatsApp. We highly recommend downloading the app before coming as there will be a wedding group chat with helpful information. The app runs off of wifi which is offered almost everywhere while cell phone service can be spotty...we are in the jungle after all!

Question

WHERE CAN I BUY CHEAP ALCOHOL, SNACKS AND WATER?

Answer

We highly encourage you to buy a bottle or two at the airport before heading to Tulum. Great prices and duty-free! For anything else you may need, there is a supermarket on the way into town as well as small convenience stores within walking distance of the hotel.
