She had noticed Jayvee before, back when their locale congregation of Bellevue held worship services in the locale of Seattle, where Jayvee was registered. Rhea suggested to set up a casual hangout—just the three of them. As fate would have it, Rhea had a business meeting in another state and couldn’t make it. Instead, she gave Jem’s number to Jayvee. That very night, Jayvee sent Jem a message, and from that moment, their conversations never stopped. Texting turned into deep conversations, and soon, they found themselves growing closer. Eventually, Jayvee asked Jem to have dinner with him, and that marked the beginning of something special. On November 26, 2023, after a year of rigorous training, Jayvee completed his first full marathon—an incredible 26-mile journey. He invited many friends to come and support him, but in the end, only one person showed up: Jem. Five hours later, as he crossed the finish line exhausted but fulfilled, he saw Jem there, just as he had always prayed for. Someone who will always be at the finish line, waiting and cheering him on. At that moment, he knew—she was the one. That day, he officially asked Jem to be his girlfriend, and she said yes. Their love grew stronger, and on September 28, 2024, with the blessing of Jem’s family, Jayvee proposed to her at Seward Park.
