Katie and I met at Epworth Church Camp! We both were quiet and odd girls growing up so of course we had the best friendship. Through the years our moms would drive us back and forth from each others houses because we live an hour apart! Distance never stopped us and we have been best friends ever since. I always tell people Katie is my sister because as different as we can be our bond is unbreakable. I tell this girl everything, and even though we live an hour apart, when we come together its like no time passed at all. If I ever need to know anything about anything all I have to do is ask Katie and she will have advice or an answer every time. I can't wait to have my sister from another mister ( Papa Dave ) by my side for the happiest day of my life!
Carter Smith

Carter and I have been friends since the 8th grade and were attached at the hip in high school. If we weren't in class, you could find us together every other minute of the day (even third wheeling on each other's dates). This man has stretched my comfort zone throughout the years, teaching me new ways to experience the world and new ways to understand myself. He has also taught me that the best way to ride a horse, is not to ride one at all. Carter currently serves in the United States Air Force, where he is raising an amazing daughter with his wife Keely, while also transforming himself into an ancient Greek, marble statue.

Maddy is my oldest Neice. She and I are only 9 years apart. Her and I always acted like sisters. We are unstoppable when it comes to shopping trips, we always find the unique stuff and the biggest deals. Maddy has such a kind heart and she's the smartest girl I know. She has been to every event, dance, and graduation I have had and I have been to all of hers. She has such big dreams and I have no doubt she will reach them all with her amazing attitude toward life. She has such good taste and knows me to a T. I couldn't get married without her by my side through the whole thing!
Payne Barbee

Payne is my younger brother who brings out my weirdness more than anybody else. I'm really good at getting under his skin and he's really good at letting me know about it. Without my brother, I feel like I'd be as bland and boring as a slice of white bread. Payne has the power to make me cringe on command or make me laugh so hard that my stomach hurts, and he wields that power with reckless abandon. Payne currently owns more instruments than clean pairs of socks, but I love him anyways (seriously though Payne, go do some laundry).
Alyssa Pinkston

Alyssa and I grew up in the same small town. It was easy to pick us out of the crowd because we were the Emo kinds in a country town. Alyssa is so out spoken and kind, that is why we became fast friends. We were always known by liking the alternative music and wearing hot topic clothing. She is so down to earth we clicked instantly. Eventually we started to Cheer at the same college together and moved into an apartment together with two other girls. Easy to say Alyssa and I have a bond from growing up together and I am so happy we did.
Calvin Barbee

Calvin is my cousin, but in reality we feel more like brothers. The thing I love most about Calvin is his ability to strike up a deep and informative conversation, while simultaneously inserting the most sarcastic jokes possible (he is truly a master at his craft). Even though we live hours apart, it always feels like we just saw each other the day before. As we continue to grow older, I'm becoming increasingly thankful that he still sits at the kids table with me. Calvin is currently working on his master's degree at Northern Illinois University while teaching at the same time.
Amy Bushue

Amy and I met in college. She joined the same Cheer squad as me. If you don't know Amy she is a small individual but don't let that fool you, she has a spit fire personality! Amy and I became friends so quickly because we were so different. We shared the same morals and ideals, but our outward demeanor was totally different. She was so out spoken and ready to have fun how ever possible, I admired her energy and her loving personality. She balanced out my shyness and helped me come out of my shell and live an amazing life. She was also a room mate with Alyssa and I. We made so many memories and I am so happy she is apart of my friends family.
Torin Wright

Torin and I became close in high school and we have only become closer since then. Torin has the kind of energy that's vibrant and contagious, opening up the world around me in new ways and allowing me to relax and be weird. He can make the most mundane experiences feel ridiculously fun, even if it's just driving across town or dropping his take-out in the parking lot. When he's not roasting me or posting high quality content on his social media, Torin can currently be found working at the Salem Township Hospital.
Katelyn Lord Ryan

Kate and I met at work. We both worked at applebees in our town. This woman is an amazing mom and a great friend. I call and text her about everything and she always gives me the best advice possible. Katelyn is so sweet and even more creative. There were times in my life where I had no one close to go to and she was always there to call me or have me over to her house. We talk for hours and I tell her everything because I know she never judges me, she just loves me for who I am. She knows I'm always here for her because I know she's always here for me.
Garrett Murphy

Garrett and I have been friends since little league baseball, but started to get close when he joined the high school golf team with me. While we were never the star golfers, I think it's safe to say that we had the most fun on the team. Garrett makes me feel way cooler than I really am; laughing at my dumbest jokes, hyping me up every chance he gets, and helping me appreciate the small and simple things in life, whether he realizes it or not. Garrett is currently studying at *I think it's the University of Southern Indiana* while also working hard to become LeBron James' biggest fan.
Ashly McElroy

I first met Ashly at applebees, but back then I worked mostly days and she worked mostly nights. Later on in life God said no these two need to meet again and become friend! Thats just what happened. I started to work at an assitive living facility and Ashly was a CNA like me. It was an instant friendship. She understands me on a level that others don't. We have some of the same worries and wants in life and we bonded so fast. She loves helping her friends and loving them when they need it. She's so driven to her dreams and I have no doubt she will get there, she is the strongest girl I know and I am so grateful we became friends.
Ryan Hosapple

Ryan and I met at community college and lived together while studying at SIUE. Ryan is one of the most balanced and calm people I have ever met. He's capable of making awkward situations feel like you're just hanging out with an old friend and embarrassing moments feel like you're on the set of a sitcom. But let's be honest, his best quality is his ability to see memes in real life situations. Ryan is currently serving in the United States Air Force Reserves while also studying at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.
