Jaymee found a summer job at Colby's Ice Cream and bakeshop the summer of 2013. After working one of her first shifts, she raced home to tell her Grandma that she worked with a, "cute boy". Naturally Jaymee barely said five words to him the entire summer, but little did she know Michael actually encouraged the owner to hire her.
After a summer of scooping ice cream, Jaymee and Michael returned to college and went their separate ways. A year later, Jaymee was still thinking of Michael, so she decided to stalk his Twitter account to see what he was up to. In pure Jaymee fashion, she decided to like an old tweet of Michaels, hoping to get his attention. It worked ;) A few hours later, Michael messaged her and they've talked almost every day since.
Our engagement story starts in January of 2020 when Michael asked Jaymee to help him customize her dream ring with a jeweler in Buffalo, NY. Jaymee was quick to oblige as she'd always been certain she wanted her engagement ring to be unique and different. Unknown to Jaymee, Michael had big plans for his proposal, however COVID19 changed his course and timeline. Jaymee patiently (read: impatiently) waited to hear the four words she's always wanted to hear from Michael for many months. On September 27th, 2020, Michael asked Jaymee to marry him at the The Hotel Henry, a spot that holds great significance in their relationship. The best part? Michael pulled off the best surprise and had both of their families there to celebrate their engagement. Surprises continued as they returned home only to have the best engagement party waiting for them with some of their closest friends.
