Just like many people these days, we met online! We didn't spend much time waiting to meet in person though. We met on Bumble on Sunday and had a lunch date on Monday. We both felt pretty sure this was serious within the first week of meeting.

As we all know, 2020 is the year of COVID. Jamie had planned a surprise day to celebrate my 40th Birthday! Little did I know it was also going to be a very special day with an engagement at the end. Jamie had planned for us to go to wineries so we could be safe and social distance. This was our first day going anywhere besides a grocery store or drive thru in months! We went to a couple of wineries and then we were at Shelton Vineyards and enjoying the beautiful day by their gorgeous landscape and Jamie asked me to marry him. We both shed a few tears and were very excited. We had to rush though, because we had "dinner reservations", or so I thought. Again, I was pleasantly shocked when we drove up to my parents house and both of our families were there to celebrate my birthday, along with a Zoom call with friends! It was a surprise for everyone when we announced that we were engaged!
