The story of Tommy and Jaylyn began their first year of college. They were both athletes at the University of Nebraska, so it was almost a given that their paths would cross.  Jaylyn: "Tommy was on a scooter after he had knee surgery, and he would ride it around weaving in and out of things. I couldn’t help but notice his goofiness. He reminded me of my Dad and that is something I instantly loved about his personality." Tommy: "The football players had our own section of tables in the dining hall that looked down over the soccer team's. I would see this blond girl come in all the time and she was just different. She wasn't wearing tons of makeup, she was always laughing, she was naturally gorgeous whether she was coming from soccer or from class." The first time they actually spoke was on their way to class, when Jaylyn was walking behind Tommy and he turned around and saw her. After that same class, she once again found herself behind him. She tried to walk slower so he wouldn’t notice but he happened to turn around again. When he did, he joked; “What? Are you stalking me?” To her, it was just a coincidence, but if you ask Tommy how they met he will jokingly say, “she stalked me.” The First Day - 12/06/2012 After a few more run ins, Jaylyn and Tommy began messaging back and forth. They learned that they had a lot in common, were both kids at heart, and loved their families. It was a matter of time before they went on their first date. Following dinner and a movie, he made the big move and asked her to be his girlfriend.  The Yes Day- 12/25/2015 After many conversations with his family, Tommy bought a ring and had his roommate Jordan hide it in his closet. The big question came on Christmas Day at the Foster Farms Bowl in San Francisco, CA. Enjoying holiday dinner on the pier, surrounded by friends, teammates, and family, Tommy got down on one knee and gave Jaylyn the best Christmas present any girl could have asked for.
