This is our wedding venue, but is a wonderful museum which hosts both permanent and rotating exhibits centered around science, art, and history. There are exhibits which are geared for visitors of all ages. The museum is open from 11am-5pm daily and is ADA accessible. During the cocktail hour of the reception, the museum will be open for guests to freely roam. In particular for our younger guests, there is a fun, interactive youth exhibit. Please be mindful of signs where food and drink are prohibited.
Mary and Jaylin live in West Reading, and love being within walking distance of the vibrant main street which hosts a multitude of boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. Mary can often be found perusing the aisles of Kimberton Whole Foods looking for something new to make for dinner. Some of their favorite places along the main strip include: Sweet Ride Ice Cream (nostalgic ice cream parlor) DeLune (shopping boutique) Be Mine Boutique (shopping boutique) Finch and Fern (home decor) Uncork'd (formerly Winedown Whiskey Bar-- food, wine, whiskey) Barley Mow (restaurant and craft beer) Building 24 (restaurant and bar) SlyFox (restaurant and bar, very kid friendly) Club Pilates (Mary's favorite form of fitness) The Berkshire Family Restaurant (a favorite great breakfast spot, also serves lunch and dinner) Cafe Folino (breakfast and lunch cafe)
Jaylin should go here to burn off his excessive candy consumption.
The Reading Public Museum hosts an impressive arboretum that covers 25 acres of lushly appointed and carefully maintained natural beauty. The Wyomissing Creek, which flows through the arboretum and park, provides a peaceful, mesmerizing ambiance for leisurely walks along the many pathways. Mary and Jaylin live within walking distance of here, and often enjoy walks with Oscar and AJ on the trails.
This is a fun place loved by both adults and kids alike. Mary and Jaylin often take their nieces and nephews here for a fun evening. Included inside is an arcade room, Go Karts, a slide park, Ballocity climbing gym, and laser tag.
