Our love story began in the fall of 2023 when we first met as coworkers at an elementary school in Prince George's County. Our first real interaction happened just a few days after the school year started, during a professional development event on the Spirit of Washington. For me, it was instant—when I saw Jaylin, I was immediately drawn to her. Her smile, her energy, the way she carried herself... there was just something special about her. Shortly after that, we went on our first date to Top Golf. We had a great time, enjoying each other’s company and having fun, but we both agreed to keep things professional and decided to just be friends and coworkers. Over time, our friendship grew stronger, and we developed a deep bond. We shared laughs, stories, and supported each other through the ups and downs of the school year. As the months passed, we couldn’t ignore the growing connection between us. By the end of the school year, we both realized we felt something more than just friendship. After a lot of reflection, we decided to take the next step and begin dating. And from there, the rest is history. What started as a simple friendship turned into a beautiful love story, one that neither of us had expected but both of us knew was meant to be and ordained by God.
