Jaye tells everyone she knows this story every chance she can get… you have likely heard it before! Jaye and Matt met at work in the consumer loan center in downtown Canton, Ohio. On Jaye’s first day she was given the tour of the facility and while walking up the steps she was introduced to Matt as he passed by. Jaye was impressed with how kind and welcoming Matt was and happy to find her assigned cubicle was right next to his. Months of will they won’t they went on and after nearly a year they decided to make it official in February 2019. After one month of dating Jaye was joking with Matt and he accidentally said “I love you.”

About 1-300 times a day for years Jaye would randomly say to Matt “ya know babe things are going pretty good.. we’ve been dating for a while.. we should get married!” Jaye and Matt were hosting a small family Thanksgiving dinner at their home. As the evening started to wind down Matt, Jaye, their girls and some family sat down in the dining room to play “skip-bo” After playing a few rounds Matt asked everyone to join us in the dining room and go around to say what we were thankful for this year. We went around the room and when it got to Matt he said “I’m thankful that I won’t be asked when I’m going to do this anymore” stands up, gets down on one knee much to everyone’s shock and surprise Matt says “we’ve been dating for awhile.. and things are going pretty good..wanna make this totes o’ffish?” Jaye absolutely shocked says yes! And immediately starts pointing at everyone asking them if they knew about it, as one does! Turns out- Matt bought the ring over a year before he proposed to Jaye and spent months designing it for her!
