FAQs

Question

What colors should I wear?

Answer

Anything you want! We care most about you being comfortable. If it's helpful, though, Jayden will be wearing burgundy, Río will be wearing violet, and the Rainbow Party will be wearing gold.

Question

What's the typical weather like?

Answer

Seattle summers are typically sunny and in the 70s or 80s. However, climate change and El Niño might make it a bit hotter. We will be by the water and in a shaded area. We suggest layers!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Yes! Feel free to bring them to the wedding ceremony and cookout. We ask that you don't bring them to the After Party or Denny Blaine, though.

Question

I'm an out of town guest (or I'd like to help an out of town guest). Where should I stay and what should I do?

Answer

Planning a wedding is hard, so unfortunately Río and Jayden will not be able to assist individuals with this. However, if any Seattle locals are willing to offer recommendations, carpool, host guests, or otherwise support out of town guests, please put your contact information or suggestions in the document below. Out of town guests, feel free to reference this document for support or suggestions. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1r44AFvv2bbGCJQ4il0VOi7HybRHXKGetz6bfr-a3ukg/edit?usp=sharing

Question

How do I get to Lincoln Park?

Answer

Lincoln Park is accessible by taking the West Seattle exit from I-5. There are two parking lots onsite, but it can get busy on the weekend so we recommend carpooling, taking public transport or using Lyft/Uber. The C Line services Lincoln Park with the closest stop being Fauntleroy Way SW & SW Rose St.

Question

How do I get to Denny Blaine?

Answer

Denny Blaine is located in the Madison Park neighborhood off of Lake Washington Blvd. There is no longer any legal parking directly in front of the park, and street parking is hard to come by. We recommend public transport such as the 2, 3 and 8 Metro buses.
