Their story began back in high school, where they first met. In May of 2016, they attended prom together and immediately started dating—becoming true high school sweethearts. Like many young couples, their journey wasn’t always simple. When Matthew left for college, they learned what long distance really meant, and for a brief time, their paths even went separate ways. But love has a funny way of bringing you back to where you belong. They found their way back to each other, stronger and more certain than ever. Not long after, they welcomed their first fur baby, Thor, and Matthew made the move back to Phoenix. In July of 2017, they took a huge step together—moving to Tucson into their very first apartment. That’s where they began building their foundation, learning what it meant to create a life side by side. Their little family grew again with the addition of their second dog, Athena. Over the next eight years, their love story took them on many adventures—back to Phoenix, then Gilbert, and eventually all the way to Kansas. Since settling there, they’ve experienced some of their biggest milestones: buying their first home, welcoming their cat Steve, Matthew asking for her hand in marriage, and finally being blessed with their beautiful daughter, Aliyah Mae Olivera. So much has changed since those high school days, but the love that started it all has only grown deeper. Because Tucson is where their life together officially began, it felt only fitting to return there to celebrate the next chapter of their forever. They can’t wait to celebrate with you. 🤍
