We first met at a middle school basketball game in 7th grade. Even back then, Braxen’s sense of humor stood out — he was always making people laugh. We dated a little during that time, went to a movie with friends, and honestly didn’t think much of it. We figured we’d just be friends. But God clearly had other plans. During our freshman year of high school, we reconnected — and everything changed. Things just clicked. From that point on, we became inseparable. We supported each other in everything — from football games and cross country meets to basketball and track seasons. We were always each other’s biggest supporters and closest friends. As we’ve grown up together, so has our relationship — not just with each other, but with God. He has always been at the center of our journey. Through every high and low, every big decision and quiet moment, He’s been our foundation. It’s through Him that we’ve learned how to love deeply, forgive quickly, and grow stronger together. After high school, we both chose to attend Rocky. Balancing school, sports, and everything in between hasn’t always been easy, but it’s made our relationship even stronger. We knew college would be a test, but we also knew that with God guiding us, we could make it through anything. Then, on a family trip to the Dominican Republic, Braxen proposed. One morning, we decided to go grab coffee — but something felt different. He was acting a little funny the whole way there, repeating everything I said and clearly nervous. After we got our coffee, he took me on a beautiful walkway, and that’s where he asked me to marry him. Now, after years of growing up, growing together, and keeping God at the center of it all, we’re so excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife. We’re best friends, teammates, and partners for life — and we can’t wait to see where God leads us next.
