A shared love of God, horses, and a mutual online business class first brought both Cody and I (Jayde) together while we were attending Chadron State College. Cody's strong desire to serve the Lord and his infectious smile soon won me over despite his dangerous habit of riding bucking horses! Since then, we have a wild ride including long distance, overseas travels, and plenty of time horseback. Of course, it only makes sense that Cody would pop the big question in a place that we both love... an arena! After several minutes of confusion on my part and an embarased/shocked reply of “Sure?!” we were officially engaged when I realized Cody was in-fact serious and not pulling my leg! (Ask one of us for the full story, it’s so much better in-person) ~As we reflect back on our relationship from the last 2.5 years, we can only glorify the Lord for his work in both of our lives. For some reason, He decided to take two imperfect people and draw them close to Him. Then, when those imperfect people thought they had their lives together, they met and realized just how far they had to go! Because of God’s unfailing love, He has continued to work in their lives. He has brought wonderful mentors and friends to challenge and trials to grow them. He is patient when they fall or are just plain stubborn. He gives forgiveness in every circumstance, but every so often, He also gives a well timed kick in the butt!
