Kory and Jayda met on Halloween of 2022 on a trip to visit mutual friends. Jayda loves dressing up for Halloween and was a cowboy this year, while Kory had to be forced into a costume, only agreeing to a Christmas sweater. Not long after, they became inseparable. They started dating in early January of 2023, and quickly became each other’s best friend. Kory and Jayda moved to rugby for the summer following the school year, then moved in together with a couple of Kory’s friends in Bismarck while attending college. Following Kory’s graduation, they moved to Minot while Kory started a new job while Jayda began at Minot state. Finally, they moved to Ray and settled down, hoping to not move for a while. In march of 2026, Kory and Jayda went on a family vacation with Jayda’s family to tybee island, Georgia. Getting there was a trip of its own. With what was supposed to be a quick 2 flight trip became an overnight layover with 4 different connecting flights with missed flights. It made it worth it because, Kory planned a surprise proposal on the beaches of tybee island. He even hired a photographer, (if you know Kory, you know how surprising this is!) To celebrate the proposal, they went on a dolphin cruise and enjoyed the rest of the trip talking about weddings, (basically just stressing Kory out!)
