Our Adventure

We met at a Bible study in June of 2023 and progressively developed a friendship through the course of Bible study get-togethers and other casual hangouts. After nearly a year of getting to know each other and spending time together, we began dating. Isaac took me to Riverbottom park on our first date at 11AM, and he told me he had a cut off time of 1:41PM. When I later asked why, he said if our date got awkward we would have a way out. We shared a meal, chatted, and walked around for a while, and when we finally checked the time, it was almost 6PM. This first date (that was so comfortable and natural) would set the pace for the rest of our relationship. I was always someone who enjoyed my time alone, but no matter how often I saw him, I never got tired of him. Three months into our relationship, Isaac proposed at my favorite place in the whole world, Lake Powell. He did it on the side of a cliff, and afterwards we jumped into the lake (with me accidentally pulling him into the water and knocking the breath out of him. Whoops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). We made a commitment in the beginning of our relationship to always prioritize growth and dedication to the most important relationship we will ever have in our lives: our relationship with Jesus Christ. We know that keeping Jesus first will only strengthen and deepen our relationship with each other. As long as we remain faithful to that belief, we can navigate the crazy, extremely difficult, and beautiful adventure of marriage.
