Collin and I first met as little kids, sitting side by side in our preschool class photo. Our moms became close friends through a church "Mom Time" ministry, but life took us in different directions when I moved to a new school in my hometown in kindergarten. While we didn’t grow up together, our moms stayed in touch over the years, always secretly hoping that one day, we might reconnect. Fast forward to December 2020—Collin’s mom texted mine, casually asking if I had a boyfriend. As it turned out, I had just gotten out of a relationship… and so had Collin. With a little encouragement (and maybe some divine timing), I reached out to him, and we started messaging. From the very first conversation, we both felt something special. After a month of talking, Collin invited me to church—our first time "re-meeting" since preschool. From that day on, we knew this was something different, something meant to be. But because we were both dating with marriage in mind, we wanted to take things slow. We spent months getting to know each other, going on dates, and building a strong foundation. By the time Collin officially asked me to be his girlfriend on April 24th, 2021, everyone already assumed we were dating—we were inseparable. Three years later, on August 24th, 2024, Collin asked me the easiest question I’ve ever answered: “Will you marry me?” Now, we’re counting down the days until May 24th, 2025, when we get to say “I do” and start our forever together. We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with all of you!
