Yes! We are waiting on the shuttle company to tell us their best timing based on our needs and you will be asked to commit to a time once that is finalized.
Theme: Inspired by nature. When you're considering your outfit...Think about theme, celebration, and comfort. What feels celebratory, whimsy, and comfortable for the woodsy environment? Theme: Forest Fae, Queer Royalty, Enchanted Glam, Your favorite element, Authenticity Celebratory: Think colors, textures, accents that embody celebration Comfort: Mother nature will hold you but we must honor her in all her forms! Our ceremony will take place in the woods, there will be a puppet parade along a path, and dancing in the clover. Please consider this in your shoe / outfit choice.
Go. All. Out. We certainly hope people are inspired to wear an outfit influenced by both the joyous occasion and the theme! There will be a face painter at the beginning part of the evening if you'd like to be painted upon arrival.
Heck yes! If you feel so moved we hope you do! We'll be dancing in the clover so plan your footwear accordingly :)
No. There are several large puppets being made (think Bread & Puppet Theatre style) in advance that we may ask you to lovingly escort, and there will be a wand-making station during the beginning part of the evening so everyone has something to hold! In fact, thank you for asking. Please don't bring your own puppets...unless it's part of your costume, of course.
Yes! The puppet parade route is visible from the flat, central area where dinner and dancing will happen. We hope everyone who’s able to participate—accessibility-wise—will join the parade. There will be twinkle lights lighting the way for those who do! But no worries if you’d rather not walk the woodland path after dark; parades need an audience to cheer! There is a clear, direct path to meet the parade towards its end point where you can cheer and then join the last few steps to the firepit ceremony.
Yes :)
We’re inviting a few folks ahead of time to prepare a short blessing to share with the group before placing something into the fire. As the smoke rises, it will carry those words and wishes to the sky. If you’d like to offer a spoken blessing, please let us know! We hope everyone who’s able will join us around the fire pit, it’s spacious and perfect for gathering. Of course, there's no pressure to speak if you'd rather just be present and hold the energy of the blessings with us.
