I stumbled across Partha on some random Facebook page. He had just moved to Amsterdam a month before me, and there I was this clueless, sweet little thing thinking I could actually make friends by connecting with strangers online. Little did I know, I wasn’t just making a friend; I was walking straight into someone’s love spell. One weekend, we wandered around the city together aimlessly exploring, talking silly, stuffing ourselves with junk food, and watching mokka movies. The whole time, I kept thinking, “Wow, what a calm, grounded guy,” while he was probably looking at me like, “Damn, this girl is loco.” And then next day he said he liked me. Of course, I rejected him! Funny how things flipped. Now I’m the quiet one, and he’s the goofy, crazy one, constantly making me laugh, repeating everything I say, and jinxing my favorite songs just to annoy me.

New place, new life, new people. An amazing guy told me he liked me, but I was confused and doubtful, my self-esteem was lower than RCB men’s team trophies at that time. The quiet ray slipping through my window, lighting the darkest corners of my heart and bringing hope when I need it most. He lifts my spirits, fills me with warmth, and leaves a smile that lingers long after. With him, every day is touched with that rare and cherished light, that makes you pause, smile, and feel truly loved.
